Originally from Germany, I’ve been working and showing in the greater Atlanta area since 1991. During the 1990s I participated in many arts festivals, including the Decatur Arts Festival. Since then, I have also had the honor of jurying jewelry and 3-D art for the Decatur Arts Festival.
My studio is in the Chamblee area, from where I send my pieces to galleries throughout the United States. In Decatur, I am represented by Aimee Jewelry and Fine Arts Gallery.
For me, making jewelry is still as exciting as it has been for decades, because of the direct and spontaneous expression, the play with fire and the quietude of the studio. In most of my work, I apply high carat gold pieces to a ground surface of sterling silver. I use precious and semi-precious sapphires, tourmalines, garnets and aquamarines.
I received my original training at the Goldschmiedeschule (School for Goldsmiths) in Pforzheim, Germany.
