"I feel that my jewelry is 'poetry in metal.' It seems to be about the sea. The work can affect one much like music or water does. I leave it to the viewer to interpret the message and assign a meaning to their own satisfaction and delight."
The pieces are formed in gold or silver, from a mold created using an actual ocean- sculpted shell found on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. They are native shells, washed up by the sea on an ever-changing shore. The shapes, hewn by the waves and sand, are translated into graceful, fantastic dancing forms.
